I took the photo inside because it was darn cold out today. Starting with the radishes on the bottom and going clockwise: mixed radishes, romaine (Paris Island Cos), Mixed Loose Leaf Lettuce (many varieties including Ashley and Black Seeded Simpson), two heads of Tom Thumb lettuce, Little Finger carrots (which look like massive thumbs), and [...] If you let your broccoli floret keep growing, it will eventually look like the photo below. I let the garden rest today, although I did go out and pick some large flat leaf parsley for a breakfast casserole I made for Christmas Day brunch. The weather was warm today, I suspect temps hit 70 F. [...] I picked nearly another pound of peppers. They are smaller than summer and fall harvests, but still very sweet and crunchy. I am calling them part of the Christmas harvest. The rest of the harvest follows. In addition to this, I harvested lettuce two to three times . A check of the log shows the harvest [...] Below are those crazy Zinnias. There seem to be dozens more about to bloom. Some are under straw with the strawberries and will probably be OK. There is also one Cosmos and one Marigold still blooming. They really add some nice color to the garden, along with some red hot cherry peppers still producing, and [...] The record harvests have continued the past couple of weeks. I am really enjoying having the benefits of harvest at this time, which is so busy with getting ready for the holidays.
