27 September – I was able to clear two rows in the summer garden. I let the three green bell pepper plants which are still producing remain. I mulched another path. I am trying very hard, with all the mulching, to get ahead of the weeds. Weeds seem to grow the best of all. I decided [...] 20 September – Larry helped me extend the irrigation hose to the compost bin. Now the compost will get water everyday just like the rest of the garden. Water is needed to help the composter do its job. I weeded and mulched around the compost bin then sowed parsley seeds next it.
